Sathuran

Action and fantasy

In his directorial debut, Urumeen , experienced editor Sakthivel Perumalsamy has attempted a story with a twist. “It’s an action thriller with a fantasy element. Bobby Simha plays the hero and Kalaiarasan the villain,” says Sakthivel. Bobby is paired with Reshmi Menon ( Burma, Inidhu Inidhu ) in Urumeen, which is in the final stage of post-production.

Crime thriller

After appearing in Moodar Koodam , Rajaj plays the lead for the first time in director K. Rajeev Prasad’s Sathuran . “The film revolves around a crime that takes place one night. Rajaj plays an auto driver who inadvertently gets involved in the crime. How he comes out of the mess forms the crux of Sathuran ,” says Rajeev who earned his spurs working with director Suresh Krishna. Rajaj is paired with Varsha, a newcomer from Bangalore.

Love, break-up, life

Adhik Ravichandran has come up with Trisha Illana Nayanthara . “The film is about the views of youth on love. The story underlines the importance of not giving up hope after a break-up. For, another girl comes along in life. The story traces the life of G. V. Prakash’s character from school, college and thereafter. Cast opposite him are Anandi ( Kayal ) and Manisha Yadav. I have just signed Simran to essay a role crucial to the plot,” says Adhik.
