His latest film, Uyirukku Uyiraga, has just released and Sharran Kumar is on a high. With this, Sharran has completed three films, the earlier ones being Inidhu Inidhu and Issaki . “I am now looking forward to the release of CSK; I understand that a big production house is negotiating to buy it. I play Charles, a cricket enthusiast trying to get into Chennai Super Kings. But, that’s only a small part of the script. CSK is a murder mystery and the other two initials in the title belong to Mishal who plays Shafiq and Jai Queahani who plays Karthika. Vimal and Narayan play negative roles and their characters dominate the second half of the film,” informs Sharran who incidentally was Man of the Match in one of the series in the recently concluded CCL.

Ajmal’s next is a romantic thriller

U la will be Ajmal’s seventh Tamil film and even as he is awaiting its release in July, he has a Telugu film — Thanu Munna Velipoyindhi — getting ready to hit the screens. Ajmal’s Vetri Selvan has just released. “I will be starting work on my next Telugu film, 14 Rosu Pandigai , in July. But, I am going to focus on Ula right now. Directed by Rajan Madhav, Ula is a romantic thriller, in which I play a rock star. The story is about four individuals and how their actions bring them together as friends. Besides me, there are Viddarth, Blade Shankar, Nivas and Radhika Apte. The film has excellent music by Sajan Madhav,” informs Ajmal.

Here come the ghost busters

The title of the film, Aaaah , literally screams for attention. But that’s the kind of effect, director duo Haresh Narayan and Hari Shankar would like to have on the viewers of Aaaah, a 2 hour and 10 minute horror anthology. The duo’s earlier efforts, Orr Iravu and Ambuli 3D have been known to send a chill down the spine of viewers. “ Aaaah is a series of five stories strung together by another story. Three friends go on an adventure trip to explore ghosts. They travel to different locations — a Dubai desert, Japan, the Bay of Bengal, a remotely located ATM and a highway in Andhra to follow true incidences of ghost sightings,” says Haresh. Aaaah has two songs — one written and performed by Gana Bala in Tamil and another in English sung by Kavita Thomas.
