Entries have been invited for the seventh edition of the annual documentary and short festival ‘Signs 2013’.

The best film in this category will win the John Abraham Award. Organised by the Kerala chapter of the Federation of Film Societies, the fete will be held in Thiruvananthapuram from February 10 to 15.

The best documentary and short film stand to win Rs. 50,000 each and a memento designed by C.N. Karunakaran. Awards will also be given in the categories designated as ‘Cinema of Resistance’ and ‘Cinema of Experiment’. The best ones will get Rs. 25,000 each. The prize money will be distributed between the director and the producer.

The entries, both documentaries and short films, should be in video format. While the duration of short films should be below 70 minutes, there is no time limit for documentaries. Last date for entries is January 5.
