Marudhamalai Films Siruvani has been produced by Racecourse Ragunath, who is also in charge of the screenplay, dialogue and direction. Sanjay and Iswarya are the lead pair, while Anu Mohan, Nellai Siva, Swaminathan, Isac, Elisabeth and Nalinikanth comprise the rest of the cast. The music has been scored by Deva. The audio of the movie was released by music director Deva and received by the whole unit. With generous doses of love, sentiment and thrilling incidents, the story is sure to sustain audience interest.

Producer and director Racecourse Ragunath: I am from Coimbatore and am called ‘Racecourse’ because I live there. I wanted to produce a film but music director Deva was keen that I take up direction. The story of Siruvani is an adaptation of a novel by Rajesh Kumar. Shooting was done in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chennai and Coimbatore. We shot scenes at the popular cellular jail and in other historic places such as the spot at which Netaji Subash Chandra Bose hoisted the National Flag. We have also shot parts of the film in the Siruvani forests. Since the story leads to a suspenseful climax, it is sure to keep the audience engaged throughout.
Hero Sanjay: I have acted in several films — Tharagu, Iyyavazhi, Thandavakone, Gajamugan, Sattendru Maruthu Vaanilai and Vibunan . I was chosen for the hero’s role in Siruvani after I passed an audition. I hope my performance will be appreciated by audiences.
Music Director Deva: I asked the director where he wanted me to introduce the songs in the story. Once I was sure of the situations, I was happy to begin work. I am sure all the songs will be well-received by film music fans.
Music Highlights: The album shows that Deva always gives his best, be it a big or small film. The best song is ‘Nan Poranthathu’, rendered by Deva and Suchitra. What makes it interesting is one can identify the names of important places in and around Coimbatore, beautifully interwoven into the song by lyricist Annamalai. The same lyricist has penned ‘Chuditharum Sruthiyodu’, which is excellently rendered by Shalini. Ravi Shankar has written two pleasant numbers — ‘Kathirikka Kothamalli’ sung by ‘Gunndu’ Karthik, Priyadharshini and ‘Enada Enada Kannile’ sung by Vijay Yesudas and Chinmayi. Viveka has written a solo number ‘Pasa Pasa’ sung by Gundu Karthik and Priyadarsini.
