Considering the track record of quality films made by the Rajkumar family, audience expectations will naturally be high when there is a release from their banner. Their expectation will move up a notch when their home banner is launching the grandson of Rajkumar. That is why the banner opted for a simple love story to launch Vinay Rajkumar, like the way Shivarajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar were introduced through Anand and Appu.
To be precise, Siddartha , with the tagline Giveme a break , is a simple love story produced keeping in mind the generation Vinay represents. It has everything the generation expects — love, friendship and career. How an ordinary fun-seeking guy balances all these is the fulcrum of Siddartha . The way relationships are with dealt in the film will strike a chord.
Siddartha is story of Siddartha (Vinay Rajkumar), who loves challenges in life and does anything for the sake of friendship. Khusi (Apoorva Arora), an art student, enters his life accidentally. Siddartha easily succeeds in winning her heart. He complicates things for himself by seeking a break before getting married.
Vinay Rajkumar does not disappoint. He has excelled in fight and dance sequences. He is at ease while delivering dialogues, which have ‘punch’. It is evident that he is not carrying any baggage of the Raj family. He definitely matches his uncles Shivaraj and Puneeth in dance and action, and needs little schooling in expressing emotions, like his grandfather. He has essayed the role of an easy-going, straightforward guy with ease.
