Prince Film Circuit’s Vilambaram, produced by A. Joseph Stalin, is written and directed by K.A. Suriya Nithi. The cast comprises Abhinay, Haira, Iswarya, Thambi Ramaiah, Bhuvana and Benjamin. The camera is handled by Abdul Kalam, editing by Sai Suresh P., art by Ravindran and music by J. Vimal Raj. Vilambaram turns the spotlight on the happenings in the advertising world with a powerful love story forming the backdrop.
Music highlights
The album has five numbers of which three are written by the director and two by Tholkappian. ‘Azhagazhagai,’ sung by Harish Ragavendra, tops the list of favourites. ‘Chevvaai Malarntha,’ sung by Shravya, is good. ‘Yennai Yenda,’ sung by Priya Hamesh and Velmurugan, vouches for the director’s lyric-writing skill. The title song, ‘Vilambaram,’ is catchy and comes twice — one rendered by Ranjith and the other by the music director.

Producer A. Joseph Stalin: My business interests are varied — I own a hotel, college and a garment export unit. I met director Suriya Nithi through the co-producer of this film, V.P. Ramakrishnan. When he told me the story I was all for producing the film. I am sure it’s a box office winner.
Director K.A. Suriya Nithi: I worked under director K. Balachander for his serial Jannal and then with Sunder K. Vijayan for some time. I’ve assisted directors Cheiyar Ravi, ‘Yaar’ Kannan, Aravindaraj and Mani Bharathi. This is my debut film and I have chosen a story everybody can relate to. All those who have watched it are happy with my work.
Hero Abhinay: I am blessed to be the grandson of legendary actors Gemini Ganesan and Savithri. Dasari Narayana Rao introduced me in his film Young India and after watching it, director Suriya Nithi offered me the lead role in his film. I am sure people will like my performance. At present, I play the title role in the film Ramanujan .
Music director J. Vimal Raj: I finished my post-graduation in music in 1996 and did my first musical score for Senthoora Poove . Director Suriya Nithi, who worked as an associate on that film, and I became friends. He had told me that when he turned director I should score the music for his film. And I have kept my word.
