What it is about

Sogusu Perundhu , written and directed by the late Rasu Madhuravan, features Jani, Yuvan, Manisha Yadhav, Swathi, Ilavarasu, Singam Puli and ‘Bonda’ Mani. As the director passed away even before the re-recording of the movie, the industry bigwigs tried to extend their support to the director’s family in many ways at the audio launch function — actor Mayilsamy announced a donation of Rs. 20,000, while director Cheran said that he would give away the first-day-first-show collection of his JK Ennum Nanbanin Vazhkai , producer K. Rajan said he would take care of the education of the director’s two kids.

As for the story of Sogusu Perundhu , it tracks how different people behave while on a long bus journey. The audio was released in the presence of directors Ameer, Seeman and R.K. Selvamani and producers A.L. Azhagappan and K. Rajan.

Hero Yuvan: I was glad to work with the late director Rasu Madhuravan. He was a good human being. I learnt a lot from him and I miss him very much.

Music director John Peter: I have scored the music for seven Tamil films and one in Kannada. Rasu Madhuravan was talented and kind-hearted. His way of storytelling is sure to make an impact.

Music Highlights: There are six songs in the album. ‘Gandhi Thatha,’ written by Nanthalala and sung by Rahul Nambiar evokes patriotic feelings. The same lyricist’s ‘Enthakattu Sirikiyo’ is sung by Anand Aravindakshan. Suchithra, Shravanthi and the music director team up to sing the fine number, ‘Rooputhera Mastana’ penned by Kavibaskar. Written by Muthuvijayan, ‘Asai Vechain’ is well-rendered by M.K. Balaji and D.R. Lavanya. ‘Engappanukku Marumaga,’ written by Muthuvijayan, and sung by M.K. Balaji and Vinaitha, and ‘Shame Shame’ sung by Harish and Samira and written by Thamizhamudhan are the other two numbers in the album.
