Music Highlights

There are six songs in the album of which ‘Nenjankuzhi’ comes thrice including an instrumental version and one with the lyrics changed. Written by Vairamuthu and sung by Karthik and Pooja Vaidyanathan, this number is sure to become a chartbuster. The same lyricist’s ‘Kathirundhai Anbe’ sung by Chinmayi, Nivas and Abhay Jodhpurkar is pleasing. Madhan Karky has penned ‘Saturday Fever,’ an interesting number rendered by Vijay Prakash, Sayanora Philip and UV Rap. Gana Bala’s lyrics and voice make the song ‘Vazhkai Oru’ stand out.

What they say…

Producers Kalpathi S. Aghoram, Kalpathi S. Ganesh, Kalpathi S. Suresh: We have produced quite a number of films featuring stars — Santhosh Subramaniam , Madrasapattinam, Maattraan , etc. When director Chandru came to us with this script, we instantly liked it as it has comedy blended beautifully with fantasy. A clean family entertainer, the film has a message, but told subtly.

Director Chandru: I started working at director C.S. Amudhan’s advertising agency and subsequently on his Thamizh Padam as a dialogue writer, lyricist and as an associate director. Then I joined director Venkat Prabhu as an associate director when he made Mangatha . Naveena Saraswathi Sabatham marks my directorial debut and I thank the producers for the opportunity. The movie is a laugh riot with Jai playing a doctor. A major portion of the movie was shot in Bangkok and the rest in Malaysia. This film combines comedy with fantasy; hope the Tamil audience likes the new genre.

Hero Jai: I have done some of the best films in Tamil with the latest on the list being Raja Rani.Naveena ’s novel script attracted me. I feel after this movie releases I will be getting more comedy films. The shooting was like an outing as all the members of the unit had a very good time in Bangkok. The music is another plus.

Music director Prem: I am a keyboard programmer and worked for some of the big names in the film industry such as Harris Jayaraj and Mani Sharma. My symphonic scores have been praised by maestro Zubin Mehta and Prof. William Skelton (Professor of Music, Emeritus, Colgate University, USA). I learnt to play the mridangam and the piano. This is my debut film.
