What it is about…
Ramana Arts’ Iruvar Ondranal is produced by A. M. Sampath Kumar and written and directed by Anbu G. This campus love story has P.R. Prabhu and Krithika Malini in the lead, while Akil, Deekshitha, Janani, Karthika and Shyloo are playing the other important roles. The camera has been handled by Kumar Sridhar and the music composer is Guru Krishnan. Actor Suriya released the audio which was received by Ashok Verghese, chairman, Hindustan University.
Music Highlights
There are six songs in the album and the best one is 'Va Va Oviya' sung by Karthick and written by Neela Megham. The same lyricist has written three more beautiful numbers — 'Silu Silu' sung by Benny Dayal, 'Eno Unnai' sung by Sunitha Sarathy and 'Mudhal Murai' sung by Nikhil Mathew. 'Friendship Friendship,' written by Karthik Netha and sung by Krishna Iyer, is tuneful. 'Vandhana Vadhanamey' written by Viveka and sung by Baba Sehgal is yet another interesting song.

Producer A. M. Sampath Kumar: A.R. Murugadoss and I started out as assistants to director Udayashankar. When Murugadoss turned director, I became his associate and worked with him on films such as Dheena and Ghajini (Hindi). I also took care of his production work. So I am familiar with all departments of filmmaking. When Anbu G. wanted to make a film, I said I would back the project as the story he pitched me had all the ingredients to become a box office hit.
Director Anbu G.: I started out as an assistant editor to B. S. Nagarajan. Then I worked under directors Raj Kapoor, Praveen Gandhi, Udayashankar and Murugadoss. I got to meet Sampath Kumar when he was working as the co-director to Murugadoss. When I decided to direct a film, I approached Sampath Kumar who readily agreed to produce it. The film is now ready for release and we are eager to see the audience response.
Hero P.R. Prabhu: I did B.E. ECE at Hindustan University. After graduation, I worked as an assistant to cameraman Mathi. I got the opportunity to act when I was working with A.R. Murugadoss’ unit. Those who saw the movie appreciated my performance.
Music director Guru Krishnan: I contacted producer Sampath Kumar to do a music album. He heard the tunes I scored and asked me to do the music for his forthcoming film, Iruvar Ondranal . The highlight of the album is although all are love songs, there are no duets. I have also done the re-recording, which has come out well.
