Cinematographer turns director

Debutant director Sivakarthik, who has worked as an assistant director with Samuthirakani, is ready with his film Reengaram, a 'horror' film that does not deal with scary ghosts and monsters. Sivakarthik has chosen an assistant cinematographer for the main role. “I spotted Bala, an assistant to cameraman Manoj, and was convinced he'd suit the role. He has delivered beyond my expectations,” says Sivakarthik. The shooting of the film was completed in 26 days. This was possible because the entire unit was well-rehearsed and trained for every scene and schedule.
