A still from Anjatha Sandi

Telugu film Sandi is being remade partially in Tamil as Anjatha Sandi . The film’s director Samuthiram says, “I am remaking a few portions for the Tamil audience. For the first time, Sarath Kumar and Priyamani come together for a film.” Produced by Omix Creations, the film has Ashish Vidyarthi playing villain. Priyamani is said to have an action-packed role, where she learns the nuances of sword fighting and archery from the hero.

Donning a role

Director Perarasu has a specific role for Parthepan in his latest film Tihar . The film, a partial remake of the director’s Malayalam movie, will see Parthepan play a don who terrorises people. The director says, “His role is different, and only he could have essayed it. A huge portion of the shoot is over. The fight sequences in the film will show variety.” The film was shot in Dubai, Spain and Mumbai.
