Milind Soman, the quintessential handsome hunk who made his presence felt on the small screen and big from the 1990s, has not been very visible of late. While the model turned actor says this is because he hasn’t been getting any “interesting” offers, he was in the Capital recently for the launch of a deodorant of Old Spice, for which he is a brand ambassador. Here he takes a few questions on what has been keeping him busy away from B-town, and how he stays seductively fit at 47.

Everyone is a fan of your fit and toned body be it a girl or a guy. Tell us something about it, How do you manage to look so young at this age?

I credit swimming and running for my fit body. I believe if you want to be fit, nothing can stop you from it. At the age of 47 I still feel young and I have never considered myself old. I still feel as if I am in my 20s.

Tell us something about your production house…

I have been doing television production since 1998, and we have produced “Margarita” and “Big Wings”. We also produced the film “Rules — Pyar ka Superhit Formula.” Now we basically produce non-fiction like cookery shows, reality shows, travel shows — and no daily soaps.

Y ou also have a magazine…

The magazine, Big Indian Picture was merely started to make the general public understand cinema in a broader context, what is behind the scenes, detaching essentially from reviews and gossips.

What ’s this new word ‘matastic’ all about, what are you expecting from this advertisement of Old Spice? Are you happy to be entering television again excited as you are once again hitting the television screen through this bold video?

I feel so great to be associated with such a brand as it has everything I believe in — rugged masculinity and earthiness. And I am very excited about this advertisement as till now we have got a large number of views and likes in various social networking sites and hope more people connect with it.

You have been out of the film industry for a year or so. Why is that, and what else has been occupying you?

It is just because no interesting offer has come my way, so I am trying to explore different languages beyond Hindi — for example my latest Marathi movie “Samhita”. Also, last year I made an appearance in “Jodi Breakers”.

I also have my event company Maxima, which holds corporate conferences. Last year we started with an event, “Pinkathon”, which was a women’s running event. We went to almost 10 cities.
