A new banner, a new story and a bunch of new talents to the industry, that's what writer-director Rajkumar claims about his debut production, “a love story with a difference.” The other day he was shooting a song sequence on the lead pair at the sprawling 92 acre Sanjeevaiah Park on the banks of Hussainsagar in the heart of Hyderabad.

As one entered the popular tourist spot and one of the city's best lung space, one heard the song being blared through the nagra tape, 'adirinde adirinde nee soku...' (lyric: Tallpaneni Venkat). Debut hero Vamsikrishna and upcoming starlet Anusri placed the steps composed by choreographer Dileep. Explaining the sequence that precedes the catchy number, Rajkumar said that the song emanates from the imagination of the hero.

“At the slightest provocation, he gets into a tiff with her. But at a point of time, he falls in love and he imagines singing a duet with her expressing his love. The hero's character is weaved in such a way that it presents him as a dreamer. Our hero who came from a village to the city in search of a job is surprised by the ways of the city folk. After seeing various kinds of people, he thinks he cannot achieve anything here. But in his dreams he achieves whatever he wishes. It is in one such dream that he saw the girl and interestingly when he meets her in real life the fights between them continue. The city girl wishes to study further but her parents decide to perform her marriage. Now how the hero who has a change of heart, plays a drama to help her avert the marriage forms the turning point. From there onwards the story takes curious turns and twists setting the mood for a perfect entertainer.”

Although Rajkumar is debuting as a producer and director, he is not new to the film industry. “Hero Suman has been a close friend of mine for the past 20 years and I have been an avid watcher of the process of filmmaking and the working style of various popular directors. This has helped me to branch out independently and wield the megaphone,” he smiles. He has now completed the first schedule and discloses, “with the next schedule that commences from September 16 we plan to wind up the shooting part.”

He chose newcomers for the other key characters including 'Nuziveedu' Srinivas and Siva. The movie is presented by Koduri Narayana Rao, a businessman. Nuvvena adi Neevena is slated for release in November.
