Inception

Christopher Nolan

Undeniably one of the most complex sci-fi movies ever made in the history of world cinema. Directed deftly by Christopher Nolan, the plot revolves around Cobb (Di Caprio), a skilled extractor of secrets, through dreams, who is offered his old life as payment for a seemingly impossible task — inception. More than his part as a director, Christopher Nolan deserves appreciation for his part as a writer for having superbly woven weaved a plot with intricate details that make the audience sit up and take note gape at of his brilliance. Though there seems to be no great scope for acting, the cast delivers a decent performance. Forget about the layered plan of inception, this movie requires concentration and brains to even understand the concept of the movie in the first place. Great visual effects, extraordinarily clear explanation of the concept, terrific music by Hans Zimmer and thrilling action sequences make this movie worth watching.

The Departed

Much to our surprise, the two heroes fall in love with the same woman. Though it appears to be a commercial action movie, Martin Scorcese steps in and changes the genre to a dark thriller. Leonardo DiCaprio and Matt Damon managed to deliver their best performances. Watch-out for the violent Mark Wahlberg, who is darkly humorous during his screenspace. One cannot help but admire Jack Nicholson as Costello. With twists and thrilling encounters, great music and an awesome plot, this movie always will always be spoken of. in the future.

A Few Good Men

Rob Reiner

One of the best court-room dramas ever made, the film It deals with a dynamic, brilliant, loud-mouthed Tom Cruise with an big attitude and a Harvard degree in law, who hadn’t even stepped into a courtroom, waging a legal war against the U.S. Government of the US for charging two soldiers with the murder of a fellow comrade. The two accused appear to have followed an order from Jack Nicholson, as commander Jessep, in carrying out a “code red”. The film does not have a terrific tremendous plot, but this ambiguity is appears to have been more than nullified by good terrific acting from Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson. With great dialogues and sensational acting, this movie has many intense, gripping, edge-of-the-seat moments. Jack
