About a Paiyan

Publicist-turned-director Balu Malarvannan’s Paiyan is all set for release during the forthcoming festive season. “I have moved away from predictable screenplays. The cast includes newcomers Faisal and Raghavi along with Sivakumar (from Pasanga ); they are supported by M. S. Bhaskar and Vadivukkarasi. I have shot extensively in Thirutturaipoondi, Bhavani, Erode and Salem, to lend authenticity to the plot. The film deals with the issues that a youth faces, when he decides to leave the comfort of his home and live independently. How he deals with the responsibilities of job, love, life and society is portrayed in Paiyan ,” says Balu.

Jiiva's 25th

Jiiva's 25th film, Pokkiri Raja , produced by publicist-turned-producer P.T. Selvakumar is getting ready. Jiiva is paired with Hansika MOtwani, and Sibi Raj has a crucial role to play in this film. Says director Ramprakash Rayappa ( of Tamizhukku En Ondrai Azuthuavum ), “Pokkiri Raja is a humorous fantasy film in which Jiiva plays the role of an IT professional. He is the exact opposite of Sibi Raj, who plays a carefree irresponsible youngster. Their lives run parallel in the script until certain unexpected events take place.” Muisc for the film is by D. Imman.
