Claudia Ciesla, German model and actor of Marigold fame, was in the Capital recently to attend the launch of a new range of mobile phones by Josh. Clad in a black evening gown, Claudia held a mobile phone and walked the ramp at The Taj Palace. Talking about her modelling career, the Bild Soccer World Cup Girl 2006 said, “I've been into modelling since I was 15… live shows, fashion modelling, print modelling… I've done it all. I just love it.”
Originally from Poland, she moved to Germany at the age of 17. Apart from modelling, the 23-year-old is also into singing and acting. Her debut single ‘I love dancing I Espania' was released in the UK in 2008. She also sang the title song of the German-Indian film Ki Jana Pardes , in which she played the lead. “I feel that all of it comes to me naturally. I easily adapt myself, be it singing, acting or modelling,” says Claudia.
Experience
She appeared on the German Internet soap opera Beach House (2007 and 2008) and on Italian sitcom Outsiders in Palermo (2008). She also acted in M.R. Shahjahan's psychological thriller Karma in 2008, working in which she says she enjoyed the most. “I love the concept of karma and reincarnation. It fascinates me totally, and the movie was based on reincarnation. So, it was like I just got to do something I was truly attached to,” adds Claudia. Among modelling, singing and acting, she finds modelling the most exciting as well as challenging. “I find myself truly connected with modelling. Here people get to know the real Claudia. They praise Claudia and not any of the characters played by Claudia.”
Claudia Ciesla shot to fame in India after appearing in the third season of TV reality show Bigg Boss . Says Claudia, “I enjoyed every minute I spent on the show. I shared great chemistry with Paresh (another contestant).”
On her experience of India, she says, “I find India very exciting, I enjoyed it here (in Delhi), enjoyed it at Bigg Boss. I just love the energy in this place (India).” Any plans of entering Bollywood? “Yes, I'd love to work in Bollywood. I am looking forward to it. I'm just waiting for the right opportunity.”
An avid soccer fan, curvaceous Claudia says jogging, regular exercise and yoga is the secret to her perfect statuesque figure. “Health is real wealth.” Point noted.
