Hyderabad-based young music composer Puja Kapoor will be awarded the ‘Special Mention – BETI’ this year at the ‘12th Kelvinator GR8! Women Awards, an initiative of the Indian Television Academy these Awards confer honour and recognition on women achievers from all walks of life, annually.
Besides this, the awards are also a platform for the ‘beti’ movement that is a crusade against the scourge of female foeticide as well as crime against women, rampant all across the country, today.
For the last six years ‘beti’ is relentlessly crusading against these!
The ‘beti’ movement finds a platform in the annual GR8! Women Awards.. which accord honour and recognition to women achievers in different genres like, fine-arts, literature, music, politics and public life, sports, medicine, corporate, entrepreneurship, cinema, television and others. Anushka Ranjan, who’s the brand ambassador of this award will be honouring Puja.
Puja lives in Mumbai pursuing a career in music industry.
The 12th Kelvinator GR8! Women Awards is going to be held on March 9, 2013 at the Lalit Hotel, Sahar Airport Road, Andheri (E), Mumbai.
