What it is about…

Esthell Entertainers’ Summa Nachunu Irukku is produced by B. Vimal and written and directed A. Venkatesh. Thaman and Vibha play the lead. The music is scored by Achu. The story is a comic narration of how 14 individuals converge at one place to sort out their problems. The audio was released by G.V. Prakash Kumar and received by actor Goutam Karthik.

Music highlights

The album has five numbers of which ‘I love you, girl’ is the best. Based on ragas Sankarabharanam and Desh, it is sung and written by the music director himself. T. Rajendar has sung ‘En Aalu’ with Achu and Thaman. This song, written by S.P.L. Perumal, is sure to top the charts. ‘Ninaithadhai Mudippavan,’ written by Vimala Britto and sung by Naveen Madhav and Sree Chitra, is good, while the last two numbers, written by Na. Muthukumar, are tuned by ‘Lockup’ Nathan and remixed by the music director — they are ‘Kannan Indru’ sung by Suchithra and ‘Dian Dian’ sung by Velmurugan and Srilekha Parthasarathy.

What they say…

Producer B. Vimal: We run schools, colleges and resorts. We have produced the Vijay-starrer Deva , Rasigan and Senthoorapandi under our banner V.B. Combines. As my daughter, Sneha Britto, who is now doing Visual Communication, wanted to pursue cinema seriously, we have taken up film production. We produced “ Sattam Oru Irrutarai ” under her direction, and have now completed Summa Nachunu Irukku.

Director A. Venkatesh: This is my 22nd film as director. Some of my hits are Mahaprabhu, Chocolate, Bagavathi, Dum, Yei and Vathiyar . I have acted in Angadi Theru followed by roles in four other movies. I am also doing a role in this film. I discussed a comic storyline with director Sneha Britto as I haven’t done a comedy till now. She liked the script and asked me to narrate it to her mother. They asked me to go ahead with the project which was shot in Malaysia. The film is a laugh riot.

Hero Thaman: I was born in Madurai, but brought up in Chennai. I finished my engineering studies and worked as a programmer for some time. As I was passionate about acting, I trained at Theatre Lab under Jayarao. I have done several stage plays before landing the hero’s role in this movie. I have earlier acted in Aachariyangal directed by Harshavardan, and Sattam Oru Irrutarai .

Music director Achu: I am the grandson of music director B.A. Chidambaranath and the son of Rajamani, who has scored the music for more than 800 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. I learnt Carnatic music from music director M.M. Keeravani. I am a pianist and have provided the accompaniment to several of my father’s compositions. I have also scored the music for Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil films. My first Tamil film was Maalai Pozhudhin Mayakathilaey .
