What they say
Producer and director Roopa Iyer: This is my second movie after my debut The Cover Page , which got me various national and international awards. Earlier, I was into modelling and event management. Then I faced several hurdles while producing Chandra , I am proud of the outcome and my team. Shriya is a huge plus and has pulled off her role marvellously. Prem is sure to make Tamil directors take notice of him. Vivek is also a boon and so is Ganesh Venkatraman who has done a fabulous job. Talented music director Gautham Srivatsa has given his best not just with composing but also the re-recording.
Hero Prem: I’ve done 15 Kannada films, but this is my first Tamil movie. I am confident I will land plum roles after directors watch my performance in Chandra . I play the role of a prince which required me to not just look fit, ride a horse and handle a Kalari fight scene, but also pull of the romantic sequences. As there’s plenty of action, love and sentiment in the film, the audience, I’m sure will like it.
Music director Gautham Srivatsa: I am a keyboardist and have worked for more than 100 films. I have scored the music for 15 Kannada films. Chandra, a period story, happens to be my first Tamil film, a challenge to prove my talent.
