What it is about
Produced by M. Anthony Edward, Rainbow Creations’ Pesamal Pesinaal, is written and directed by N. D. Sivamanoharan. Cinematography is also by Sivamanoharan. The music is scored by Durairajan and the editing is by R. Kesavan. Abhinai, Kandesh, Gayathri, ‘Nizhalgal’ Ravi, Meera Krishnan, Kambam Seeman, Nellai Siva, Christina and Kalyani form the cast. The audio CD was released by producer Thanu and the first copy was received by director K. Bhagyaraj. The story is about how parents play a major role in moulding their children into responsible citizens.
Music highlights
‘Silendra Chindrela’, rendered by Charulatha Mani and written by ‘Thendral’ Senthil, is good. The remixed version of the song comes at end of the album. The same lyricist’s next is ‘Excuse me’, well-rendered by Durairajan and Madhumitha. Mani Amudhavan’s ‘Irukkava Irukkava’, sung by Durairajan and Anuradha Sriram makes for pleasant listening, particularly the portions sung by Anuradha. ‘Yarada Intha Poovai’ (again by the same lyricist), sung by Manikkavinayagam is sure to attract listeners. The highlights are the singer’s fine voice and diction. ‘Thali Kattikkittu’, written by Pa. Sivakumar and sung by Vel Murugan and Kadaloor Jothi, is sure to be hit.

Producer M.Anthony Raj: I am involved in the real estate business; this happens to be my second film. My first film Ean Intha Mayakkam is set for release soon. When the director of Pesamal… told me the story, I found it was gripping and evinced interest in producing it. As the budget was low, I decided to take on the project, though I hadn’t completed shooting my first film. I am happy to have finished both and hope they will be released soon.
Director N. D. Sivamanoharan: I am a cameraman and have worked under Viswam Natraj and Dharma. I worked solo on 10 films — Pudhumaipithan, Donsera and Kanthiranthu Paramma to mention a few. I bagged the best cameraman award for an Oriya film from the Chief Minister of the State. This is the first movie where I have written the story, screenplay and dialogue, as well as being responsible for the camerawork and direction.
Hero Abhinai: I am an MBA and was working in Bangalore. My father was once a junior artiste, so I think acting comes naturally to me. I arrived in Chennai and did two films Padaisuz and Manathil Oru Margazhi before Pesamal…. I played major roles in both these films. In Pesamal…, I play the role of a doctor. I think the film will succeed at the box office.
Music director Durairajan: I am a singer and have directed the music for more than 100 ad films, three shorts and five serials. I have scored the music for a Kannada film, to be released soon. This is my first Tamil film and I’ve been receiving appreciation for my compositions.
