What they say…
Producer Pagai K. Senthil: Cinema has fascinated me right from a young age. I have seen various film shootings and wanted to be part of the industry some day. That dream has come true now. Vijay Arun’s storyline impressed me so much that we began the shoot in a couple of days’ time. And if we completed Karuppazhagi in a single schedule of 51 days, the credit should go to director Vijay.
Director Vijay Arun: After finishing a course in direction at the Star Film Institute in Chennai, I joined as an assistant to director Radha Bharathi. When I got to know that producer Senthil was looking for a good script, I approached him and he instantly gave me the green signal. We have shot the film at various places in and around Tamil Nadu such as Tharangambadi, Athipadugai and Paganeri.
Hero Ammith:Karuppazhagi is my first film in Tamil, but I have earlier acted in Kannada films and as hero in some. I am also acting in another Tamil film under Siva’s direction. On the day of the audio launch, director-actor K. Bhagyaraj told me that I have a great future. In Karuppazhagi , I play the guy who helps the girls in their troubled times.
Music director Velan: I have composed the music for three short films and a devotional album. Director Vijay is a good friend of mine. He had promised to give me a chance if he ever got to direct a film. And he has kept his word. I am working on a couple of films now.
