The K story
Music director K has arrived. First, by scoring for Yuddham Sei and now for Mysskin’s much talked about Mugamoodi. While a lot is being said about the film and its music, many wonder why the music director calls himself K.
Says K: “My name is Krishna Kumar. But I felt it was too long. The best thing would be to shorten it to KK. However, as there are several others in the industry with the same identity, I chose to call myself K. K is not only short, it also sounds professional.”
But when did this happen? “I happened to work on short films on AIDS awareness. In the credits of two of these films, I am referred to as K. Since then I have been calling myself K.”
