Jayam Ravi has started work on his next yet-to-be-titled film directed by Suraj. A puja, performed yesterday, kick-started the shooting of a busy market scene.

For this particular schedule, the makers of the film are said to have erected a special set worth Rs. 40 lakh resembling the Tenkasi market. A source says, “Jayam Ravi and Soori are friends in the film and the story will revolve around their lives. It will be a rural-based character for Ravi.” While Anjali plays one of the leading ladies, the search is on for another heroine who will be finalised very soon.

The project, produced by Lakshmi Movie Makers, has been tentatively titled ‘Production No. 27’. While the actor’s last release was Nimirndhu Nil , his Bhooloham – in which he plays a boxer – is on the verge of completion.
