Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Rangoon’ begins filming

Filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj has begun shooting his period drama “Rangoon” , which stars Shahid Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.

The drama, set in the 1940s during the World War II, will see Kangana Ranaut playing an actor, who is romantically involved with her mentor. The third lead character is that of a soldier.

The movie is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. His wife Warda S Nadiadwala on Wednesday tweeted about the beginning of the shoot.

“Yayyyyyy Maashallah!!! #RANGOON started Goodluck team #VishalBharadwaj #SajidNadiadwala @rekha_bhardwaj,” she posted alongside a photo of Vishal and Sajid.

This is Shahid’s third film with Bhardwaj, while it is Saif’s second outing with the director after “Omkara” .
