If recent reports are anything to go by, Robert Downey Jr. may not be seen in the fourth movie of the “Iron Man” franchise.

Downey’s role in the ‘Iron Man’ franchise has been kept tightly under wraps ever since speculation first started that he may not be returning for the fourth movie, reports contactmusic.com .

As per reports, Downey does not want to leave ‘Iron Man’. However, the final decision is in the hands of Marvel Studio.

“It’s down to Kevin Feige, Marvel Studios president, Ike Perlmutter, CEO of Marvel Entertainment, and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that’s on us to agree or disagree,” Downey said. “When things are going great, there’s a lot of agreement.”

The actor, who plays the role of a genius billionaire playboy philanthropist in the franchise, was titled the richest actor in Hollywood by Forbes earlier this week.
