If any of you want to watch this film because you were a fan of the concept of the original film – wherein a police constable transferred a heart from a brain-dead patient via road in record time – save your time and money.
- Actors: Sarathkumar, Napoleon, Suhasini Maniratnam
- Direction: JPR
- Plot: A cop investigates appearance of mysterious posters around the city
Actor Sarathkumar, who is perhaps the only common factor in the earlier film, reprises his role as a cop in Chennaiyil Oru Naal 2. In this one, he is investigating a case of curious posters being stuck all over the city. Apart from that, the two films don’t have anything in common.
Despite being a short film, it feels stretched, underwritten and sometimes meandering all over the place.
The film begins with actor Sarathkumar launching a manhunt for the person behind the mysterious posters asking “When will Angel die?” However, midway through the film, the story turns into a murder mystery and loses focus as the narrative constantly struggled to weave in its many different aspects.
For Sarathkumar, this is a role that he can perform in his sleep. He is adequate, but the rest of cast, including Napoleon and Suhasini Maniratnam, have nothing to offer, probably because of the weak writing.
