Radio Mirchi on Thursday cancelled singer Shubha Mudgal’s performance scheduled for World Music Day due to “unforeseen circumstances.” The performance was to take place on Saturday.
Radio Mirchi tweeted on Thursday afternoon, “Due to unforeseen circumstances, Radio Mirchi regrets Shubha Mudgal Mirchi Live concert cancellation scheduled for 21st June.”

This was conveyed to me by email and phone late in the evening on June 17, 2014,” she wrote.

She went on to say that she had not seen any announcement of the cancellation either online or on their website. “I understand that several people had bought tickets through BookMyShow because the hall plan at last viewing was almost full. I do hope that those who had bought tickets will receive intimation of the cancellation and more importantly, refunds from the booking agency.”
She held Radio Mirchi and Entertainment Network India Limited (ENIL) as being “solely responsible” for the cancellation and for “any inconvenience to the public”. “What a sad World Music Day it is when both artistes and music lovers are treated so shoddily by event organisers,” she wrote.
