Raghuvaran is back! And this time he’s.. doing the same thing again?
The trailer of Actor Dhanush’s Velai Illa Pattathari 2 was released on Sunday, and from what we can see, Raghuvaran seems to be somewhat living in the Tamil version of Groundhog Day .
He has no job (again), he still gets asked to do chores around the house and there’s a cool new ‘Amul baby’ — with one exception. He’s now married to Shalini, role reprised by Amala Paul and, surprise surprise, he now has to go shopping for groceries for both houses.
Motivation came in the form of Anitha (played by actor Surbhi), a chainsmoker who eventually gets his mother’s lungs, in the first film. Here, that role seems to be played by Pelli Choopulu’s Ritu Verma. Samuthirakani returns as the taciturn but loving father, as does Vivek in his role as Raghuvaran’s colleague.
Kajol makes a spectacular entry in the trailer as Vasundhara who ultimately ends up butting heads with Raghuvaran. We can only hope this doesn’t end up going the Mannan way.
