“I saw something I was not supposed to. They gave me a choice. Die or become a sparrow,” says Dominika Egorova, played by Jennifer Lawrence with a Russian-accent. She is recruited to Sparrow School, a Russian intelligence service. The new 30-second teaser of Red Sparrow was released during the Super Bowl evening.
Egorova is taught psychological manipulation to become an world-class assassin. As she emerges as one of the most dangerous Sparrows ever produced by the programme, Egorova comes across an American CIA agent (Joel Edgerton). What happens when threats start to unveil and security of nations might be in jeopardy?
Directed by Francis Lawrence, the film also features Matthias Schoenaerts, Charlotte Rampling, Mary-Louise Parker, and Jeremy Irons. Red Sparrow is scheduled for a March 2 release.
