Rana Daggubati is all set for the release of his new film Nene Raju Nene Mantri the teaser of which was released on Tuesday. In the film, Rana seems to take on a completely different role than his blockbuster previous outing in the Baahubali films.

In the teaser trailer of Nene Raju Nene Mantri , Rana is seen coming out of the prison in shackles, with his head covered with a black cloth. Once the cloth is removed, we see a defiant Rana ready to take on anyone who wants to see the last of him.

The political thriller directed by Teja and produced by Suresh Daggubati, CH Bharath Chowdhary and V Kiran Reddy.

Nene Raju Nene Mantri also stars Kajal Aggarwal, Catherine Tresa in lead roles. While Rana calls this a thought-provoking film, Teja says, “We are living in a society that has a  jaane do  attitude. We don’t react to or care about what’s happening around us.  Nene Raju Nene Mantri  is all about breaking this attitude.”

Catherine affirmed in a recent interview that she plays a media baron in the film, “She’s a powerful woman. I liked the character, its disposition and demeanour.”

Full-fledged political films aren’t common in Telugu and Catherine is confident  Nene Raju Nene Mantri  will stand out from the crowd. “When I hear a story, I think about it from the point of view of the audience. Teja gave me a fabulous narration and I found my character extremely interesting,” she said.
