Manju Warrier is thrilled about Udaharanam Sujatha for many reasons. “Besides the subject and my character, the project is special as I am working with Nedumudi Venu chettan after 20 years. We had last worked in Daya . It was quite nostalgic for me. I have always cherished working with artistes like him and Thilakan chettan ,” she says.

Manju plays Sujatha, a maid and a single mother, who has big dreams for her daughter. Nedumudi Venu plays George Paul, a writer, who is a mentor for Manju’s character.

Manju is sharing screenspace with Mamta Mohandas for the first time. “It was so sweet and graceful of her to have agreed to do the project,” says Manju. Mamta plays a District Collector, whom Manju meets to seek guidance about her daughter’s future. The duo were seen sharing a great camaraderie on the sets of the movie in Thiruvananthapuram.

Actor Joju George and Martin is producing the movie for their new banner, The Scene. Madhu Neelakantan is the cinematographer and Gopi Sunder is the music director. Mahesh Narayanan is back as editor after his directorial debut, Take Off . Alencier, Joju and Sudhi Kopa are also in the cast. Debutante Anaswara Rajan plays Manju’s daughter. The shooting of the movie is currently on.
