After much suspense, director Gautam Vasudev Menon revealed on Deepavali day that the music director of his next film Enai Noki Paayum Thota is Darbuka Siva. The movie stars Dhanush and newcomer Megha Akash in the lead roles.
The buzz around the reveal of the director increased after the release of the first song Maruvaarthai Pesadhey, which went on to become a runway hit.
When releasing the song, Mr. Menon referred to the music director as “Mr. X” and tweeted, “A song is mostly judged or liked also by who the music director is. Please listen to #MaruVarthaiPesathey and like it purely on its own merit.”
Darbuka Siva has previously composed the music for films such as Kidaari and Bale Vellaya Theva .
Production on Ennai Noki... had started in March, with some teaser videos of the making of the film coming up on YouTube. According to the first-look stills, it is set for a Valentine’s Day release next year.
