Jazbaa, directed by Sanjay Gupta of Bhajrang Baijaanfame, is set to release on October 9. PTI.

Jazbaa director Sanjay Gupta has expressed his desire to have his leading lady, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, sing a song in the film.

While the filmmaker confirmed there are no concrete plans for it yet, he would like the Taal star to lend her voice for a number in their upcoming action-drama.

“Till now there are no plans but there is an idea,” he said at the film’s trailer launch. Dhoom 2 actress Aishwarya said, “Let’s talk about future things in future.”

From Priyanka Chopra to Alia Bhatt, a new group of actresses have taken to singing nowadays. The 41-year-old former Miss World does not find the trend new in Bollywood. “I think it is going on since quite sometime. It is not a new thing. Paa (Amitabh Bachchan) has been singing forever.

Today, actors have started singing probably because they want to do natural things... something that comes to them. We all love our cinema music. There is no time frame for it,” she said.

Jazbaa , which also stars Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff and Atul Kulkarni, hits the screens on October 9.
