Megastar Amitabh Bachchan feels “humbled and “honoured” to have received a honorary doctorate from the Egyptian Academy of Arts for his contribution to cinema.

He took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share the news.

Along with a photograph, the 72-year-old tweeted: “Prestigious Academy of Art in Cairo, decorates me a Hon Doctorate... humbled and honoured. First for India!!”

This is the first time that the Academy of Arts has given a doctorate to an international actor.
