Actor Vikram Prabhu is a happy man. His recent release Arima Nambi has crossed 50 days. “I’m happy, but also tense as Arima Nambi has raised a lot of expectations for my next movie Sigaram Thodu, directed by Gaurav of Thoonga Nagaram fame. It is an out-and-out commercial flick with a lot of interesting twists,” he says. The story is about a father and son, with the former being played by Sathyaraj.

Ask Vikram about comparisons and he says, “There is bound to be a lot of comparison as my father (Prabhu) and grandfather (Sivaji Ganesan) have done police officer roles with dignity. But I don’t want to refer to them as both are great in their own way.” Another interesting aspect about this film is that the makers shot a song for nearly a year! “Yes, we shot the ‘Pidikathe’ number in Gangotri for a couple of days. As we were not able to finish it, we made another trip and shot the remaining portion of the song after 11 months. I had to work hard as I wanted to look the same as I did a year ago for my audience.” Monal Gajjar plays the female lead in this project.
