Industries welcome Jayalalithaa win

Industry captains and Chambers of Commerce in Tamil Nadu congratulated the AIADMK leader Jayalalithaa for her historic win in the assembly elections. Ramesh Kymal , Chairman, Confederation of Indian Industry, Tamil Nadu State said, “Under the visionary leadership of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, the State will attract more investments and create further employment opportunities.” CII said that it would continue to work with the Government of Tamil Nadu on sectors like manufacturing, MSME, skill development, entrepreneurship, infrastructure, renewable energy, ICT, agriculture & food processing, water conservation, women empowerment besides focus on rural development.

Members of the automobile sector welcomed her victory and said that the government should become more industry-friendly than before. K Purushothaman, Senior Director, Nasscom Tamil Nadu and Kerala, said, “As an industry we expect a proactive IT policy and Nasscom along with other stakeholders want to engage more with the government to bring in more investments into the state.” Industry Captains who invested in the state during the Global Investors Meet in 2015 said that they want the government to have more open interactions with the industry members on a regular basis .
