Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh on Saturday said his party is committed to good governance, tackling drug menace, in his first comments after the Congress swept the Assembly elections.

While thanking the people of the State for their overwhelming support, Capt. Singh said health and education would be be his priority.

The Punjab Congress legislature party will meet tomorrow, he said.

Calling Arvind Kejriwal a summer storm which came and gone, Capt. Singh expressed hope that “the Union government will recognise demands of Punjab and assist us”.
