FIR against Kumar Vishwas, Somnath Bharti in Amethi

An FIR was on Tuesday registered against AAP’s Amethi candidate Kumar Vishwas, his party associate Somnath Bharti and two others for violating prohibitory orders, police said.

The FIR has been registered against Mr. Vishwas, Mr. Bharti, one Satyendra Dubey and Pankaj Shukla at Amethi police station under Section 188 (violation of probhibitory orders) and Representation of People’s act, they said.

Though the deadline for campaigning ended in the constituency on Monday at 6 p.m., they allegedly continued to do so in violation of rules, the FIR alleged.
