G.M. Siddeshwar, MP, Davangere, said BJP national president Amit Shah is expected to visit Central Karnataka region including Chitradurga and Davangere districts on March 26 and 27.

On Monday, he said Mr. Shah would visit Davangere on March 27 and would take part in discussions with the farmers in the region.

Irrespective of political parities, farmers would be selected for the programme that will be purely agriculture-based. There will be no scope for political discussion.

The final schedule of the programme is yet to be chalked out.

The Chitradurga BJP unit also said that Mr. Shah would tour Chitradurga district on March 26 and 27 to highlight the achievements of the NDA government at the Centre and the need to ensure the victory of the BJP in the State Assembly elections.
