Bihar Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) president Nitish Kumar will not campaign for his party in the Assembly elections . Earlier, senior party leader K.C. Tyagi had declared that the JD(U), an ally of the BJP, would contest over 50 seats in the Gujarat polls, mostly in tribal and Patel community led constituencies . However, Mr. Kumar’s name is missing from the star camapaigners list. Mr. Kumar had in July joined hands with the BJP to form an NDA government in Bihar.
