Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Monday declared that BJP would have no problem in winning the Gujarat assembly elections. Mr Kumar also said that Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) is a part of India.

Gujarat me BJP ko koi khatra nahi hai (BJP has no danger in Gujarat poll)...you must understand that people of the state represented by Prime Minister do have some emotions for him”, said Mr. Kumar while addressing media persons on the sidelines of his weekly Lok Samvad programme.

Mr. Kumar whose party JD(U) made an alliance with BJP after allegedly “betraying” with the grand alliance government in Bihar, also added that earlier what he had said about the UP poll was proved right and “now, you all will see what I say about Gujarat also”.

Mr. Kumar also expressed wonder why the graph of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi in media was getting up these days. “Earlier, when he had tore-up the ordinance bill (on convicted politicians) his graph in media had gone up but mid-way it had gone low…now again its up during Gujarat poll…its all in your (media) hands”, he said.

However, when asked about the recent comment of former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah that PoK was part of Pakistan, Mr. Kumar said, “Kashmir and PoK are an integral part of India”.

While taking pot-shot over former ally RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s recent attack on him, Mr Kumar further said that “he makes such comments to remain in media…he knows how to be in media every day”.

He also expressed his wonder over Lalu Prasad filing his nomination paper for the post of party chief for second consecutive time in two years. “Only last year he was being elected as RJD chief …though, its their party affair but just failed to understand what was the urgency to hold the party organization poll again this year?”, said Mr. Kumar.

“These days he (Lalu Prasad) has become poster boy of media…earlier I had used the term ‘darling of media’ for him”, said Mr. Kumar. “Let the election come and he will be again back to pavilion…it was because of our alliance his party had got so much seats in last assembly poll”.
