In a historical mandate, AAP sweeped the Delhi polls with a thumping majority of 67 in the 70-member Delhi Assembly. BJP came a distant second with three seats. On Saturday, Arvind Kejriwal was sworn in as Delhi's eighth Chief Minister; the oath was administered by Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. CM Arvind Kejriwal has not kept any portfolios for himself and will concentrate on improving public participation and governance.
AAP Cabinet
Six others were sworn-in as members of Mr. Kejriwal's Cabinet:
Manish Sisodia is the Capital's first Deputy Chief Minister and will handle Education, Urban Development, Finance portfolios.
Gopal Rai was given Transport, Labour, Rural Development and General Administration portfolios.
Satyendra Jain to hold Power, Health, Industries, PWD and Irrigation and Flood Control portfolios
Asim Ahmed Khan will hold Food and Civil Supplies, Environment and Forest portfolios
Sandeep Kumar was given the responsibilty of Women and Child Welfare portfolios
Jitender Singh Tomar will handle the Law department in the Capital.
