BJP leading in Maoist-hit Gadchiroli

The Bhartiya Janata Party was leading in all three Assembly segments in Maoist insurgency-hit Gadchiroli district of Maharashtra according to the trends till 1 p.m.

The district had registered record 71 per cent voting despite curtailed voting time on October 15.

BJP’s Deorao Holi was leading by over 35,000 votes from Gadchiroli (town) seat, while its candidate from Aheri seat of the district Ambrishraje Atram was leading by over 19,000 votes at the time of writing this report.

BJP candidate from Armori seat Krushna Gajbe was leading by over 3,000 votes according to the trends till 1 pm.

The Communist Party of India (Maoist) had asked the people of Gadchiroli to boycott election.
