Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom

A sequel to Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, the game revolves around the protagonists Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum and Roland Crane. Played from a third-person perspective, it features an open-world environment with villages, towns and dungeons scattered throughout the map. Players can complete different quests to progress further. The game has been praised for its character designs, the music and the visuals. Evan’s attempts to unite his world and save his kingdom are infectious and gripping. It has been published for PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows.

Into the Breach

Into the breach is set way into the future where the human civilization is fighting to survive against giant monsters called Vek breeding beneath the earth. Featuring a turn-based combat system, the main objective of the game is to defend the cities, the civilian structures and the power grid that support the Mechs (combat robots used by humans). Players can choose from different types of Mechs and equip them with various weapons, equipment and armour. The game is a mix of strategy and puzzle and has been touted to be similar to Chess. It is currently available only for Microsoft Windows.

Metal Gear Survive

If you have the ability to move around like a stealth-ninja and have a knack for survival, this game is created for you. Players are required to explore the world, which is covered by a toxic cloud, and hunt for essential resources such as food, wood, rags, iron and so on to make fences, weapons and other gear. The enemies are the “Wanderers”, crystalline zombie-like creatures. Set in an open-world environment, the game also features a cooperative multiplayer mode where upto three players can join in to complete the missions. The fight for survival and the mesmerising soundtracks will keep you hooked to the game. It has been released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
