Acharya Nagarjuna University level selection of cadets for participating in Republic Day parade at New Delhi on January 26 began on the campus with about 500 cadets from various colleges and schools participating in it.

The cadets would be tested in their ability in performing drill, perfect marching, and give commands properly. The trainers Lt. Col. Giridhar and Subedar Shivamani Reddy had been supervising the activities.

Out of these 75 cadets would be selected for the final selection process from Andhra Pradesh at Secunderabad.

Computer education

Computer training classes concluded on Saturday for B.Ed teachers. The week-long classes were organised by Veena from Intel Tech. The trainees were also given copies of ‘Education Technology and Computer Education’ books (written by assistant professor Vanaja) free-of cost.

Bar coding

The university will experiment with bar-coding of answer sheets of B.Ed course from the January 18 examinations and if this experiment is successful, it will be extended to all the bachelor degree courses, Vice-Chancellor V. Balamohandas, Registrar K. Viyyanna Rao and Rector Y. Haragopala Reddy said.

Exam schedule

AU Controller of Examinations Nageswara Rao announced the schedule of examination for M.Tech III semester and said that the fee without any penalty could be paid till October 12 and with Rs.100 fine till October 15. The theory examinations will begin on November 5.

The IV year supplementary examinations of B. Pharmacy will begin on November 12 and that of III year on November 13.
