JEST 2007
A number of reputed institutions in the country have come together to conduct a Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) for enrolment with fellowship, in their Ph.D/Integrated M.Sc-Ph.D. programmes in Physics (including various interdisciplinary research areas in Physics) and theoretical Computer Science.
The institutes are Aryabhatta Institute of Observational Sciences, Nainital; Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore; National Centre for Radio Astrophysics; Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Pune; Physical Research Laboratory, Ahmedabad; Raman Research Institute, Bangalore; S.N. Bose National Centre for Basic Sciences, Kolkata, and institutes affiliated to Homi Bhaba National University, Mumbai. Those seeking to appear for JEST-2007, to be conducted nationwide on February 18, 2007, should have obtained or are expecting to obtain by August 2007 a B.Sc/ M.Sc./ B.E./ B.Tech./ M.E./ M.Tech. degree or an equivalent in Physics, Computer Science or related disciplines.
