Ronaldo scores twice in Real Madrid’s 3-1 win over PSG

Paris Saint-Germain did take the lead in their blockbuster encounter against Real Madrid, but it was the hosts that finished the Round of 16 Champions League game with smiles.

After Cristiano Ronaldo’s penalty in the first half cancelled out Adrien Rabiot’s opener, the match seemed to be meandering towards a draw. But three late second half minutes saw Ronaldo score again and Marcelo add a third as Real emerged with the upper hand at the end of the first leg, winning the game 3-1.

In the day’s other Champions League game, Liverpool ran riot as a hat-trick from Sadio Mane gave the visitors a 5-0 victory against Porto.

Federer two wins away from number one spot

Roger Federer dominated his first game at Rotterdam, defeating Ruben Bemelmans 6-1, 6-2 in just 46 minutes.

The win puts Federer just two victories away from the world number one spot as a place in the semi-finals of the tournament is enough for Federer to usurp Rafael Nadal at the top of the rankings chart.
