By defeating India by 180 runs in the final of the Champions Trophy, Pakistan won the tournament for the first time. For a country deprived of cricket at home since the 2009 terror attack on Sri Lanka’s team bus, both captain Sarfraz Ahmed and coach Mickey Arthur believe that this victory will bring back cricket to their home soil on a more regular basis.

Chile beat Cameroon 2-0

Late goals from Arturo Vidal and Eduardo Vargas gave Chile a 2-0 victory against Cameroon in the Confederations Cup. Vargas became the first player to have a goal disallowed and allowed in the same match with the aid of video reviews. In Sunday’s other game, Portugal were held to a 2-2 draw by Mexico.
