James Harden finished with 28 points and Chris Paul scored half of his 16 points in the fourth quarter as the Houston Rockets powered past Miami Heat 99-90 on Monday night.

This is the first time this season when the Rockets have managed to win when they have scored less than 100 points.

Juve stay within touching distance of league leaders Napoli

Douglas Costa scored the only goal of the game as Juventus stayed just a point behind Serie A leaders Napoli following their 1-0 victory over Genoa.

Juve weren’t at their convincing best but Costa’s goal in the 16th minute was good enough to secure all three points.

Liverpool slip against Swansea

After thumping goals at will against league leaders Manchester City and handing them their first defeat this season last week, Liverpool were expected to have it easy against Swansea.

But a spirited Swansea side claimed maximum points against Liverpool as Alfie Mawson’s 40th minute goal turned out to be the only goal of the game.

There were upsets in the men’s and women’s draw on Tuesday as Kyle Edmund defeated third-seed Grigor Dimitrov and Elise Mertens stunned fourth-seed Elina Svitolina to progress to the last-four stage of the Australian Open.
