Juan Martin del Potro brought an end to Roger Federer’s 17-match winning start to 2018 with a hard-fought 6-4 6-7(8) 7-6(2) win in the Indian Wells Masters final.

Naomi Osaka, meanwhile, won the title in the women’s section, defeating fellow 20-year-old Daria Kasatkina 6-3 6-2 in the final.
